Oh, Christmas Tree!

So this Christmas I learned somthing new - - How to take photos of lights on a Christmas tree!  I set my ISO high and my shutter speed low, turned off all lights but the Christmas tree lights, held really still, and this is what I came up with!

All in all, I am pretty happy with the results!  Too make things even better, my husband got me a flash for Christmas!  I am now the proud owner of a 430EX II Canon flash, and it is time to get to learnin' it!

In somewhat related news, one of my best friends is getting married in June, and I may be taking her and her fiance's Save-the-Date photos! So, that should be fun!

Wedding Photography - Tim & Tera

My good friends, Tim and Tera, tied the knot March 5 in Raleigh, NC.  Tera used my camera to take pictures during my wedding rehearsal, and when her time came, she asked me to return the favor. :)  Tim and Tera are such a lovely couple, and there wedding was amazing!  I only took pictures during the rehearsal though because they had enough photographers without me.  Even the officiant (the father of the Maid of Honor) was taking photos with a camera that could kick my camera's butt.
